I am doing some research on Agouron Pharmaceutical’s new drug, Viracept.
I’m wondering if people have been able to get access to the drug and if
you have decided to try the drug, are you switching from Crixivan or
another program or are you RT and protease naive?
Any comments on side effects or other new drugs coming out would be
appreciated.

Started Viracept 7days ago, had diarrhea and used imodium which seems
to help, also developed PN in my feet, not sure if this was the cause
or the d4t in combo with Viracept, I switched from Crix, was having
mediocre results, have covered the entire PI spectrum. Good Luck

I started on Viracept, AZT and 3TC about two weeks ago and have now broke
out with a rash over about 50% of my body. I had previously taken AZT and
3TC without a simialr reaction so I contribute the rash to the Viracept.
I have stopped the combo and am now looking to the Docs for another
option.
