Um, John I *was* one of those babies. And, for that matter, I continue

Umm, purified HIV is pretty easy to get, and is pretty much worthless.
10 seconds on google pulled up at least 6 different isolation protocols.
You can buy it, grow it up in cells, or isolate it from blood/tissue
samples. Hell, we’ve even got a freezer full of samples – about 45
genetically distinct strains – just thaw and use.
For that matter, if you belong to a properly certified research facility
you can buy it, or even get it for free, from many of the HIV virus
repositories.
Sorry that reality had to intrude into your little fantasy world.

If needles are reused, or other medical equipment not properly
sterilized, then HIV can be transfered from one patient to another via
this equipment. But that’s not a major route of infection, less the 1%
in most countries.
If it makes you feel better, we could do it using a suppository, or a
balm you rub onto an open wound.

Intravenous drug users sharing needles may spread HIV disease (which
is why needle exchange not surprisingly is an effective method for
reducing HIV incidence).

You’ll have to forgive me Jan, I thought someone who spends as much time
on the net as you do would have been able to dig up that info quite
easily. It’s not like its hidden or anything.
