Prognosis after initiating HAART

Here is something unsettling from this article
(http://www.thebody.com/confs/aids2004/vanig4.html):

"When the authors analyzed the time trends from 1995 to 2003, patients
starting HIV medications after 1999 were more likely to achieve viral
load <400. However, this has not translated into a better clinical
outcome in recent years. The risk of progression to AIDS or death up
to one year after starting therapy has remained the same over the past
nine years. The presenter was also puzzled, and postulated that this
could reflect some changes in patient demographics over the years. "

Sounds like Concord Trial deja vu?

South Africa – Mortality rate unchanged

Every epidemic disease is now renamed ‘AIDS’ under the Bangui Definition.
Mortalities (non natural) in S.A. remain at the same 2.2% P.A. that they
were BEFORE AIDS. Either every other disease in the region vanished
overnight or ‘AIDS’ is simply the old diseases with a new name. You
decide.

————-
In Africa, the continent supposedly being decimated by
HIV, HIV tests are rarely ever done, so there the idea
that all patients with AIDS are infected with HIV is
based entirely on supposition.
At a WHO conference in the Central African Republic in 1985, U.S. Centers
for Disease Control (CDC) introduced the "Bangui Definition" of AIDS in
Africa.
The CDC officials later explained, "The definition was reached by
consensus, based mostly on the delegates’ experience in treating AIDS
patients. It has proven a useful tool in determining the extent of the
AIDS epidemic in Africa, especially in areas where no testing is
available.
It’s major components were prolonged fevers (for a month or more), weight
loss of 10% or greater, and prolonged diarrhea…"(McCormick, 1996). Where
AIDS is diagnosed clinically, large numbers of AIDS patients test negative
for HIV. As no HIV testing is required in Africa we have no idea how many
AIDS cases there are HIV positive (De ####, 1991; Gilks, 1991;
Widy-Wirski, 1988).
_______
Other conditions common in underprivileged and
impoverished communities that are known to cause false
positive results are tuberculosis, malaria, hepatitis and leprosy (Burke,
1993; Challakeree, 1993; Johnson, 1998; Kashala, 1994; MacKenzie,1992;
Meyer, 1987). In fact, these are the primary health threats in Africa;
several million cases of tuberculosis and malaria are reported in Africa
each year – more than all the AIDS cases reported in Africa since 1982
(WHO, 1998)*.

Mbeki questions Aids stats

Mbeki questions Aids stats
08/02/2004 21:57 – (SA)
Jan-Jan Joubert and Willem Jordaan

Cape Town – President Thabo Mbeki on Sunday questioned the extent of
HIV/Aids deaths, because of the absence of statistics on the causes of
death in South Africa.

After Mbeki did not focus on HIV/Aids and Zimbabwe in his State of the
Nation address on Friday, he was bombarded with questions on these issues
in an interview with the SABC on Sunday.
In his reaction, Mbeki said he would address the two issues in a second
State address after the election.
Reacting to a question on his personal roll in government’s fight against
the pandemic, Mbeki indicated that deputy president Jacob Zuma was
handling the matter on government’s behalf.
He said that the allocation to HIV/Aids in the budget showed that "few
countries were doing as much as South Africa".

When asked whether it wouldn’t help if he personally showed more empathy
with sufferers of the disease, Mbeki retorted that he had said a lot about
the issue and that government’s stance on the matter remained unchanged.
"Tuberculosis is also a big problem. My doctors say there is a diabetes
epidemic. Why does nobody talk about it? There are many health issues."
When it was put to him that these diseases were treatable while HIV/Aids
was not, he said: "No, that is not the reason". Interviewer Redi Diareko
quoted statistics of the World Health Organisation and exclaimed: "This is
our country about which these findings were made. You are our leader …"
Mbeki responded that the WHO could speak for itself, but that South Africa
did not have reliable statistics on causes of deaths. He said he wanted
something more than mathematical calculations – information on death
certificates.

Uganda – 3% population growth PA

Uganda has an annual population growth of well over 3% per year (as to the
US’s 1% per year) and yet, this is one of the countries that these dire
predictions were made about, 20 years ago.

Pathetic dirty little smear campaigns (see ‘Saint’) to draw attention away

He reminds me a dirty little school snitch.

CDC Maths – Go figure

Simple maths?

We are told by the CDC : –
"The HIV/AIDS crisis at home remains tragic as precious lives continue to
be lost to the disease. Each year 40,000

Americans are infected with HIV. Currently, an estimated 900,000 Americans
are HIV positive and evidence indicates those numbers are
increasing, not declining or even holding steady."

What is startling is that this is the same line we’ve been told for years
now. We supposedly have this increasing
number of "HIV converts" (40,000 per year), yet that number, 40,000
remains the same year after year. Weird. It like, 40,000, 40,000,
40,000, 40,000, 40,000 and on and on and we have ‘evidence’ for increasing
seroconversions. Lame.

And that number, 900,000. Someone at the CDC just completely pulled that
number from their ass.
In 1990 the CDC retroactively revised downward the estimates of
HlV-infected persons for the period of 1985-89 (in the US). It went from
1.2 million to 0.75 million. The number for 1990 itself was said to be
about I million (CDC, 1990). Then, in 1996, the CDC retrospectively
revised downward the 1992 estimate to yet another figure of 650,000. By
1996, the number of people said to be infected was between 650,000 and
900,000.

So there’s that number 900,000 being used in 1996. Yet now in 2003 we
supposedely still have 900,000
ESTIMATED infected people according to the SGN article (they use the word
‘currently’). However, in 1999, to further confuse matters, the
CDC estimated HIV incidence as approximately 40,000 infections per year
and the number of persons living with HIV at about 800,000 to
900,000 (MMWR Morb Mortal Wkly Rep. 1999). So if you’re head isn’t just
spinning quite yet, consider this; if, in 1996, they had an
estimated 650,000 to 900,000 HIV ‘poz’ folk, in 1999 they had 800,000 to
900,000 ‘poz’ folk. Why only increase the lower estimate?

Do we now only have ONE estimate and not a range? If we take the 1996
estimate of 900,000 and add 40,000 new cases per year until the end of
2001, we really should have 1,140,000 ‘poz’ people. If we go back to 1992,
when
the number was said to be a firm 650,000 and add 40,000 cases per year
until 2002, we come up with 1,050,000 cases. So where they get
this 40,000 number and 900,000 is beyond me.

Perhaps they revised the numbers down without really telling anyone.
I hope you are all completely and utterly confused, because frankly, I
think the CDC, with all their numerous PhD  heads running around, are as
equally confused.

NOT TAKING 'AIDS' DRUGS SAVED MY LIFE

An amazing story was just printed in a small newspaper about a little boy
who wouldn’t die of "aids".  That little boy is now 21 and he and his
wife are expecting a baby.

The story does not answer any questions about whether "anti-hiv" drugs are
good for you or not, but it does show an amazing toughness in the face of
a broken home and severe neglect from his mother and from everyone else.
His mother turned their house into a crack house when he was very young,
his father abandoned him for dead, his teachers let him get away with no
discipline since he "was going to die anyway" and other kids in his
classes were scared away from him by their terrified parents.

Even today one of his wife’s sisters refuses to meet him, and the other
refused to eat food if he had any part in cooking it.

To me this fits my voodoo hex hypothesis quite well.

He did have some serious help from someone named Neil who saw how to break
the power of the voodoo hex of "aids", and who took him into his house for
many years.  The reporter who wrote the article mentions how important
this was, stating "For years, Neil had challenged Jonathan to leave that
boy, the one with the death notice, behind. Whatever lessons Jonathan had
learned in Wisconsin — and there were many — this was the most
important."  But the writer also makes repeated comments about how his
medications have kept him alive, even though all of Jonathan’s
hiv-positive friends died while taking them, and Jonathan only started
taking them regularly in 2002.
The story is in 5 parts.  Below is the intro to the first part, its web
address, and a sad image from Jonathan’s childhood that appeared in part
2.
All in all, it is a story of triumph, and Jonathan deserves three cheers!

Jonathan’s journey: The boy who would not die

Jonathan Swain did not die.
Of all the twists in his life, that is perhaps the strangest.
He did not die when all the other children died of the plague, as it was
called, the killer he named his Secret Monster.  Jonathan Swain did not
die even though his mother — curled up beside him in bed, careful not to
crush his oxygen tube — told him that he would.
Heaven had no spoons filled with medication, no doctor visits. It had no
fearful teachers, no classmates who ran away. Heaven, best of all, did not
have AIDS.
..
(from part 2)
At 5, he was giving an interview to a reporter when another boy walked up
and stopped Jonathan in midsentence.
"I can’t play with you," the boy said. "I might catch your blood."
Jonathan looked toward the ground and then at the ball in his hand. "Bad
ball," Jonathan said, slamming it on the concrete. "Bad ball."
Then he walked away,

HIV/AIDS Drugs nearly killed me

I’ve written you before but thought this message might give others hope
about going off meds. I read your book and stopped taking meds back in
September of 2003. I’m a runner and just ran my first race yesterday
since
stopping meds. I ran my best time ever yesterday (54:45)!

After three years of taking the "poisons,” running had became more of a
chore than a pleasure. Something told me that I had to keep running
though, and I’m absolutely convinced that running was the only thing that
kept the meds from doing more irreversible damage than they did. My
partner and I ran half-marathons and10K’s for the whole time I was on
meds, but my time was getting slower and slower and sometimes I’d come
home and pass out from exhaustion.

After this race this weekend though, since quitting the meds, my recovery
time was about 10 minutes (which is normal) and I was bouncing around
with
the energy you’re supposed to have after you run.

I just wanted to share that and let others know their bodies can repair
the damage done by the meds. You may add a little side information: My
partner was diagnosed HIV and Hep C positive at the same time I was, but
he never took the meds and has not been sick with anything other than a
minor cold in the five years since testing.

Thank you for shining a light of truth.

John Pettie
